At a point where acting and positive change meet lies a sweet spot of expression that fulfills me. I am a method actor, advocate/mentor for children of incarcerated parents and a student of learning and life.

Montana Yaley is a method actor, studying at San Francisco State University. Her professional credits include¬†Wolf Mother (2016),Under the Eagle (2017) and City of Her Own (2015). She also performed in City College of San Francisco’s¬†Chicago (2016).

After working for a year as a youth advocate for Project W.H.A.T.–a Bay Area-based advocacy organization for children of incarcerated parents–she was promoted to peer mentor. She now trains and supports teenage advocates who, like herself, have known the pain of having a parent imprisoned. Montana has used both dramatic performance and public speaking to raise awareness and shape public policy to ensure the rights of children of incarcerated parents.
