At a point where acting and positive change meet lies a sweet spot of expression that fulfills me. I am a method actor, advocate/mentor for children of incarcerated parents and a student of learning and life.

About

Montana Yaley is a method actor, studying at San Francisco State University. Her professional credits include Wolf Mother (2016),Under the Eagle (2017) and City of Her Own (2015). She also performed in City College of San Francisco’s Chicago (2016).

After working for a year as a youth advocate for Project W.H.A.T.–a Bay Area-based advocacy organization for children of incarcerated parents–she was promoted to peer mentor. She now trains and supports teenage advocates who, like herself, have known the pain of having a parent imprisoned. Montana has used both dramatic performance and public speaking to raise awareness and shape public policy to ensure the rights of children of incarcerated parents.
